Not to technical so this is the how to book for this ever more dismayed Word user. Have several pages marked. Can never quite remember how to have page numbers in the header with title as I like on manuscripts. Only Word would not include it under the header and footer tab! Why I often use docs. If not for this book and others for Windows 10 I’d likely have abandoned Windows and Word all together.
Highly recommend for anyone with memory issues trying to use the ever more mysterious new Word programs. I am in process reading this book. Reading some every day and reading it slowly while going into a Word document to verify what I am learning.
I like the author’s style and humor. I will update this review when I have completed the book. One person found this helpful. Kindle Customer Top Contributor: Sewing. This book is a great reference tool, as well as a tutorial. I got this mainly to learn about Word , but I’ve learned a lot about Word in general and I’ve been using Word since the late 90’s. It’s enabled me to use Word for a lot more than my normal use. The book is organized and well written. Highly recommend!
I was hoping for a little beyond the basics but I guess I need to look for a different source. I even bought a supplemental Dummies book and still end up on the Word forums trying to find answers to questions. I find this useful from time to time at work. While I am very accomplished with Word, once in a while something comes up I forgot about.
A great help. I especially recommend this for beginners. Used but in good condition–fair price–arrived in good time–would purchase again from this seller–happy with purchase. Probably never know how good something like this can be until you’ve used it a long time and gotten help on all the really 'odd ball’ stuff that can go wrong.
Nevertheless, this volume has already proven itself to be a very handy, useful reference and teaching tool. Recommend it. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. I had recently needed to upgrade my ancient Word program for the edition and was making heavy weather of working with the latter. This shows up the difficulties of finding what I need answered if I close down and reopen a few days later to find a new answer to a new question.
That is really hard to do! Another Index page alphabetically listing topics each as one to three or four words at the very opening of the book on Kindle and referring the listener to a Kondle page reference would be so much easier to work with. I have already spent many hours just finding what I need to know. Otherwise, when I do, then the book has been a good help. I have used Word since its earliest days, but it has evolved and the new version has changed considerably.
To gain full advantage of Word I thought that I ought to get a guide to it and this one seemed to be the best on offer to meet my needs.
